They should have at least the same attack and health as swordsmen, that's what would be more natural in my opinion as well, though they should still be less resilient against archers. I agree with you, it is somewhat pity that knights have lower health than swordsmen. That is really interesting finding! Thanks for sharing it with others. Siege engines and laddermen are much more durable so that they can't be so easily shot down by 95% accurate swarms of archers. I'd like to make assassins do a little more damage and cost 150 gold since I've given them the same health as an saracen swordsman. Also, some less useful units like assassins (too easy to guard against) and knights (too weak in HP for the cost of stables) I've made much stronger. I want structure's and castles health to be x12 and to make them cost double. My idea is to make castles cost more stone, but also, to make them much more durable relative to the unit health values. For these new values to work in concert with the rest of the units, I need to make Castles stronger. Please, let me know if you've figured out how to edit damage values, unit costs, market sell/buy values and structure HP. I believe the max is 6 digits, so leaving a space of two zeroes, 00 between each entry is likely the best way to avoid an error. If you want to add your own values, just use the free online decimal (normal numbers) to Hex values, then group the digits into pairs like so 220,000 = 03 5B 60, then reverse the order of the pairs like so, 60 5B 03 and overwrite the old values. The units I know are labeled, the remaining are civilians or nature related.Īll you need to know to change them to my health values is the following: Replace the old value with the new value after the semi colon. Hex values are in binary pairs backwards. I've created a list with the order in which the units health values are placed. I've looked around online and found out the unit health values and the damage for bows, crossbows and slingers are kept in the main EXE file for SH games before 3D. If you know anything about modding any aspect of any Stronghold game, then please, let me know. I often spend much more time changing the game than playing, and I'm okay with that. I almost always mod, fine tune and tweak any game I play to get the play experience I want from the game.
